Mutaany showed improved form on his second start but was still beaten five lengths and there may be a newcomer or two who proves too good despite the experience advantage of the Hills colt. Richard Hannon frequently starts some of his better sorts off at this venue and HECTIC is an interesting type as a son of first-season sire, Massaat, and has plenty of speed in his pedigree, Hunkpapa also takes the eye as a son of exciting sire Sioux Nation, who has made such a flying start to his stud career. The market should indicate which of the Andrew Balding pair is the stable preferred and the likes of Sajwaan and Stage Show also make appeal on paper in what may prove an informative maiden. Alpha Capture, who has already been gelded, Pierce and Immdaad will all require a market check.
