Verdict
Many of these are out of form but that certainly doesn't apply to EYRE SQUARE, who produced a fine round of jumping to land a Newcastle handicap a month ago. Keith Reveley doesn't send horses on the long journey south unless he believes they can win and the seven-year-old is progressing enough to beat much more experienced rivals. Leading Contender has had his share of problems but is a very useful chaser on his day. He hasn't been seen since runner-up to Don't Push It in the 2009 Topham Chase at Aintree but has gone well after a long break in the past. Nicto De Beauchene ended his last campaign in February where he scored over three miles from a 7lb lower mark. He ran poorly on his return at Carlisle but will be better for the outing and can get involved. Carrickmines jumps well and stays all day so he looks a threat with his low weight.
