Verdict

DUMBARTON will be a popular choice on his handicap debut having run out an easy winner at Windsor last time. Today's longer trip will suit and he should continue to make good progress. Anatolian has a similar progressive profile and should go well after landing his maiden over today's trip last month, while Mountain Range is still improving judged on his latest win in a handicap at Sandown. Shamdarley has been raised only 3lb for his victory at Ayr and Johnny Murtagh takes over the reins today, but Silken Thoughts has a tougher task having scored in a lesser grade here recently. Nottingham winner Aldedash ran a shocker at York last time but it's too soon to write him off.
