Verdict
The trio to have raced previously make very limited appeal and this is more than likely going to go to one of the newcomers with Lemon Drop Lad marginally preferred to Extreme Measures and Champions Gallery. The selection is a well-related colt trained by Sir Michael Stoute, who is more than capable of training a two-year-old to score first time out and he is a likely type on pedigree. Peter Chapple-Hyam's Fusaichi Pegasus colt Basiliko is likely to need the run and of more interest may be the Barry Hills-trained Mashaahed although, being by In The Wings out of a Bahri dam, he may want a softer surface. Mick Channon's Santa Fe half-brother Hazeymm and Roger Charlton's Counting House, who is by King's Best, are others to consider although a bigger threat may come from Extreme Measures. Godolpghin's colt is a half-brother to six winners by prolific second season sire Montjeu and has to be of interest, while David Elsworth's Champions Gallery comes from a good family and is another that has to be watched with interest in the market. The vote though goes to Lemon Drop Lad, who is taken to make a winning debut.
