A wide-open amateur contest and RODIN is a tentative choice. He's gone well the last twice, looks suited to a mile and can be marked up for his latest run when finding trouble in a close finish at Windsor when beaten under two lengths into fifth. Extrodinair, the only recent winner, has a claim if transferring his best form to turf - which has yet to happen. Afta Party is unexposed after just five starts and his best run by some way came here in May and the booking of top amateur, Simon Walker, catches the eye. First-time cheekpieces are applied too. Course and distance winner, Canal Rocks, yet to strike form for his new yard, would go close if doing so.
Rodin 6-1 (8-13) Raced keenly, chased leader, every chance until winner went on inside final furlong, no extra and lost places towards finish, 5th of 9, 1 1/2l behind Mr Tyrrell (8-12) at Windsor 1m hcp (4) gf in Jun.
Canal Rocks 33-1 (9-5) Mid-division, ridden 3f out, no extra, 6th of 9, 17l behind Alminoor (9-7) at Chester 1m stks (4) gd in Jun.
Afta Party (IRE) 7-1 (8-9) Dwelt and bumped start, in rear, pushed along well over 3f out, ridden over 2f out and no headway, well held final 2f, 6th of 8, 19 1/2l behind Be Prepared (9-9) at Lingfield 7f hcp (4) sft in Jun.
Diffident Spirit 12-1 (9-1) In touch in rear, pushed along over 1f out, not trouble leaders, 6th of 7, 7 1/2l behind Final Watch (9-8) at Newmarket 7f hcp (4) gd in Jun.
Lockdown Dream 12-1 (9-7) Led, ridden and headed over 1f out, kept on one pace, 3rd of 7, 1l behind Lady Reset (9-2) at Leicester 1m 2f stks (5) gd in May.
Lord P 50-1 (9-7) Steadied start, always in rear, last of 13, 6 1/4l behind Azets (9-3) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f hcp (6) pol in Jun.

Extrodinair 25-1 (8-8) Made all, clear when ridden over 1f out, ran on strongly, unchallenged, won at Chelmsford City 1m hcp (3) pol in Jun beating Path Of Thunder (9-4) by 2 1/4l, 6 ran.
Military Tactic (IRE) 80-1 (9-5) Held up in touch, ridden and lost place over 3f out, weakened and lost touch over 2f out, last of 5, 26 1/4l behind Junoesque (8-5) at Brighton 1m 2f hcp (5) gs in Jul.
