Major Dundee looked useful when pulling clear at Southwell but this is a better race and he is carrying a 7lb penalty. Carys' Commodity was still in front when swerving and unseating his rider at Worcester while Cadzand, Jovial Spirit and Timberman have already shown varying ability between the flags. Nico de Boinville prefers the latter to Son Of Camas but there are a couple of interesting newcomers. AQUILA SKY and Force Ten are both half-brothers to winning hurdlers. Harry Fry’s stable has a good strike-rate here in bumpers so the former gets a tentative vote.
