Finding their way onto the shortlist are Dan Dare, Hazeymm, Hill Spirit, Raydiation and Sharpsburg, with the vote going to Hazeymm. Mick Channon clearly rates the selection because he sent him to Ireland for a Group One race last time, where he was beaten just over four length into fourth behind the season's top juvenile colt, George Washington. He should play his part here based on that. Dan Dare rates a danger as he is well-bred and made eyecatching headway after a slow start to finish second at Yarmouth on his debut. Hill Spirit has shown respectable maiden form although it will be disappointing if he can get the better of the previous two mentioned, and Raydiation, who cost $425,000 as a two-year-old, and Sharpsburg, who is by Giant's Causeway out of an Alydar mare, are ones to catch the eye on breeding. That said, they virtually all have something to like based on pedigrees, while Zamalik was behind Dan Dare on his debut, All of which returns us to the selection, which is Hazeymm.
