    Verdict

Mr Top Hat’s earlier win at Chester came over a longer trip on soft ground while Wafy also drops back down in distance having finished runner-up at Ascot without threatening the winner. Qaysar went close over 7f at Sandown recently and won over the same trip here last year while Dawaaleeb has placed the last twice now without looking like winning. Salt Whistle Bay would prefer slower ground but BARYSHNIKOV (NAP) finished a close-up fourth over today’s distance at Ascot last month and first-time headgear could bring the improvement necessary to see Ed Walker’s unexposed charge off the mark.
