    Verdict

Fovant made an encouraging debut having found interference before staying on strongly to finish a close second at Newbury late last month and will improve appreciably for the experience. Richard Hannon's juveniles continue in sparkling form and Espresso Time is another who is capable of better following a pleasing Goodwood introduction. Barry Hills sets a poser by saddling three newcomers and the market should provide further clues.
