Verdict

Dell' Arca’s win in a conditionals’ race at Aintree was his first in more than two years but he escapes a penalty and won this three years ago. Jonjo O’Neill prefers the hat-trick seeking Present Chief to Market Rasen third Dream Berry. Sammylou has been in cracking form all summer long at Newton Abbot and Kateson was second off this mark at Uttoxeter in March. Third Wind was fourth in the final of this series at Cheltenham last season but that race will likely be the long-term target again. FUGITIVES DRIFT had to be ridden out to make a winning start in handicaps at Hereford but that run suggested he’d appreciate the extra half-mile here so he gets a tentative vote. With owner David Maxwell injured, Richard Johnson comes in for the ride on Dolphin Square. The six-year-old has twice run well here but may be a few pounds too high
