In depth

Verdict

There is unlikely to be much between Kjetil and Pretty Star if they run up to form. But the former was arguably given a little bit too much to do the last time they met and he is fancied to reverse the form today. Bold Investor is well treated in comparison to his rating over fences and is another to monitor in the betting. Jonjo O'Neill's problems have been well documented, so the market is expected to give us the best indication towards his chance after 131 days out of action. Similar comments apply to Milford Lescribba, who was badly in need of the run on his reappearance but is in the right hands to be produced fit and bouncing this time around. However, he will do well to concede the selection 10lb this afternoon and he may have to wait for another day to get back to winning ways. Especially if Kjetil shows the level of commitment anticipated from him when he enters the closing stages today
