MARIE DES ANGES was a wide-margin winner at Wetherby last month and has won two of her three starts over fences this season. She probably wouldn't want the ground to get any quicker but is the one to beat here. Red Rouble would have an excellent chance on the form he showed before the turn of the year but Border Station's recent good form has been in jumpers' bumpers and he's shown little over fences so far. It's also difficult to make a case for Prolinx and Miss Tenacious.
Prolinx (IRE) 14-1 (11-0) Tracked leaders in 3rd, hampered and left 2nd 4 out, 1 length down when fell 2 out, in a race won by Fourjacks (11-7) at Market Rasen 2m 6f nov chs (3) sft in Feb, 4 ran.
Miss Tenacious 9-2 (9-11) Held up in last pair, blundered and unseated rider 2nd, in a race won by Nozic (10-10) at Kempton 2m hcp chs 0-135 (3) gs in Feb, 7 ran.
Marie Des Anges (FR) 8-1 (10-3) Held up towards rear, headway when left 2nd 5 out, led next, clear 3 out, stayed on well, won at Wetherby 2m 4f nov chs 0-110 (4) sft in Feb beating Weston Lodge (10-12) by 26l, 11 ran.
Red Rouble (IRE) 16-1 (10-7) Tracked leaders, jumped left at times, pushed along and lost place 8th, weakened after 13th, soon pulled up, in a race won by Big News (10-9) at Ludlow 3m nov chs 0-110 (4) sft in Feb, 12 ran.
Border Station (IRE) 8-1 (11-0) In rear, headway over 1f out, soon chased winner, ridden inside final furlong, just held close home, 2nd of 5, shd behind Representingceltic (11-0) at Lingfield 2m n h flat (5) std in Jan.
