In depth

Verdict

Gordon Elliott has three entries for this nice pot with course winner Au Fleuron looking the best handicapped though he'll need to brush up his jumping. Lucky Max has gone up 8lb for a comfortable victory under Rob James at Cork while Bois De Clamart is 14lb higher than when landing a similar class handicap at Cork though he'll love the conditions. The latter's stablemate Carrigeen Lotus was well beaten in this a year ago and has been chasing but HMS SEAHORSE (NAP) looks an ideal type for the race. A winner at the Curragh last summer, his only victory over timber came in a Fairyhouse maiden but his close fourth in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham puts him in the front line for this.
