Mickey The Steel had been running well before finally getting off the mark at the 25th time of asking at Dundalk for which he has a 7lb penalty to contend with. Aloysius Lilius returned to winning ways with an easy victory at Bellewstown but has been hit with an 11lb rise. He was conceding a stone when beaten eight lengths behind HARRY'S HILL at the Curragh earlier and will be 13lb better off but the latter looked to have plenty in hand when completing a hat-trick at Bellwestown and can go in again. Gobi Star had been threatening to get off the mark for some time and did so at Down Royal while Screen Siren has continued in good form since scoring at Cork and is just 4lb higher.
