William Ashford had been in excellent form before travelling to Naas on Sunday where he started favourite but never really threatened. The fact that he's out again so quickly suggests better is expected. The veteran NORTHERN ROCKED, who was much better than this in his prime, hasn't won for three years but has dropped to such a lowly mark as a consequence he could put matters right as he ran his best race for a very long time at the Curragh last month. Rose Anjou was only just behind in that latter race and could be expected to turn the tables as that was only her sixth run but this is such a stiff finish that the selection can have her measure again. Prove The Point had been gradually dropping to a winnable mark before a poor run at the Curragh while Bridle Path drops back in trip and may find the ground against her.
