Verdict

Sire Du Berlais won this in 2020 and HOME BY THE LEE was a surprise winner a year ago when the former was beaten 20 lengths. Gordon Elliott‘s charge is a much better horse in the spring as he showed when landing Grade 1s over three miles at Cheltenham and Aintree earlier this year. His stable also run Andy Dufresne and Zanahiyr with the latter likely to come out best of the pair. He sustained an injury when well beaten in this last year then pulled up behind the same winner at Leopardstown over Christmas when Bob Olinger, runner-up in this last year, was beaten 18 lengths. In a very interesting race Home By The Lee is selected to repeat last year‘s success.
