Most of these have pretensions to greater things and Jim Bolger and Aidan O'Brien have dominated the race in recent years. The former has a pair entered with Answered, who made a very promising winning debut on testing ground at the Curragh despite looking inexperienced, likely to do better than the maiden Stirabout. O'Brien is represented by Kingfisher and Carlo Bugatti. The former has much the stronger form in Group company and must have found the ground too fast when last of five in the Royal Lodge at Newmarket but Joseph sides with the once-raced Carlo Bugatti, whose maiden success at Gowran doesn't look anything special but obviously much more is expected. EBASANI is entered in the Derbys at the Curragh and Epsom and his pedigree suggests he'll be suited by middle distances so it was a fine effort to beat Belisarius over a mile here in October. In the hope that he's ready for this challenge, he is given the nod. Fascinating Rock could hardly have made a better reappearance, seeing off several well-touted performers at Leopardstown last month, and he's the only one to have scored over the trip.
