Winning point-to-pointer GRINGO D’AUBRELLE was well beaten on his bumper debut but looked like winning over hurdles at Galway before being run-out of it on the Flat. Gordon Elliott must believe he has the pace for this and he’ll be difficult to beat. King Kalli had Kool Kat a long way behind when runner-up to subsequent winner Agritime at Limerick and looks an obvious threat though a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of Colonel Bellew, who has more pace in his pedigree than most of these.
