In depth

Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer GRINGO D’AUBRELLE was well beaten on his bumper debut but looked like winning over hurdles at Galway before being run-out of it on the Flat. Gordon Elliott must believe he has the pace for this and he’ll be difficult to beat. King Kalli had Kool Kat a long way behind when runner-up to subsequent winner Agritime at Limerick and looks an obvious threat though a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of Colonel Bellew, who has more pace in his pedigree than most of these. Mount Brown is another newcomer to note being related to several winners.
