Texas Jack was never regarded as a stayer in his younger days before a comfortable victory over 3m1f on testing ground at Fairyhouse. A top-class performer at his prime, he's likely to be a short price here but a chance is taken on a return to form by KILFORD. He won this in a hack canter last year, making all and coming home virtually alone with Canaly one of those trailing in his wake. He's much higher in the weights but has been competing at a higher level and the 14lb he receives from the top weight might just be enough to stage a repeat. Canaly won at Punchestown in January when Some Drama was a long way behind while Folsom Blue is another who has been competing in very much better company than this and it's just a year ago that he finished a close fourth in the Irish Grand National. Mtada Supreme was also in excellent form in the spring of last year completing a double in a cross country event at the Punchestown Festival.
