A couple of maiden winners go handicapping for the first time. Nickajack Cave finished a modest second at Roscommon last time while Pearlman never threatened at Naas recently, though still finished in front of the disappointing Turnberry Isle. Headgear is applied to Operatic Export after a couple of poor efforts but Pensylvania Avenue won a handicap at Killarney last month and is upped in both class and distance. ZUENOON gets a change of headgear and drops in class having set the pace for stablemate Hazapour in a Group 3 at Leopardstown. This longer trip and Ben Coen’s allowance could see Dermot Weld’s colt go close and he gets a tentative vote in a tricky affair.
