    Verdict

This is a race Aidan O'Brien loves and he has won the last seven. He has three entries this time and though MOUNT EVEREST looks the stable's pick with Ryan Moore on board the Curragh maiden winner faces competition from stable companions Sovereign, who caught the eye behind the selection at the Curragh before winning by 14 lengths at Galway, and Japan, who had a bit up his sleeve when scoring on heavy going at Listowel. Pythion dead-heated over this trip at Leopardstown but the third has been well beaten subsequently so Power Of Now may prove more of a threat to the Ballydoyle trio after winning with a bit in hand over the course and distance.
