In depth

Verdict

ALKAZIM will be a warm order here and is impossible to oppose given that his last two runs have been in the Tattersalls Millions and the Irish 2000 Guineas. His earlier effort behind the classy Light Heavy at Leopardstown, when beaten less than a length, suggests he is up to winning at a much higher level than this. An Cat Dubh has been unfortunate not to have lost his maiden tag and ran very well behind Hi Emperor at Fairyhouse last time. Via Ballycroy has a classy pedigree and there's no reason why she shouldn't do well on Turf after two fair efforts on Polytrack while Regal Power was battling on over this trip at the Curragh last time.
