Darkened won a Kilbeggan handicap in August and ran well in both subsequent starts over timber. Prengarde had a superb record in France though his last five victories came over fences. STORMY JUDGE (NAP) improved dramatically over fences on heavy ground early last year and reverts to hurdles. He can complete a hat-trick from a 25lb lower mark back over timber. Palace Rock completed a double on the Flat and over hurdles around this time a year ago and would have to be considered on a strong run in a Navan handicap last time.
