In depth

Verdict

Dinnie's Vinnie has been a fine servant to connections and was winning for the fourth time over fences at Fairyhouse last month though he was beaten when the leader fell at the last. He's up 5lb and is now on his highest mark but he should take care of third-placed Take The Cash. Bilko has had 13 starts over fences without winning and though rarely beaten far he's still looking a few pounds high. His stable are also represented by Swingbridge, who looked a likely winner at Punchestown last month before a bad mistake stopped him in his tracks and he finished a long way behind Oscar Lantern. He's since run well over hurdles and may be capable of reversing the form with Charles Byrne's charge. PAPER LANTERN was in excellent form at this time last year and he's another who has been racing over hurdles. He's much better over fences and with his very capable rider able to claim 5lb he's handed the vote in a tricky handicap.
