TOUT EST PERMIS started off over fences with a victory at Gowran but appeared to lose his confidence. A couple of recent runs over hurdles should have put him straight and he can see off the challenge of the in-form Fitzhenry. Paul Nolan's charge is up 7lb for winning a handicap at Thurles and was only headed in the dying strides over timber at Fairyhouse. Coeur Joyeux never won in eleven starts over hurdles but is doing much better over fences, scoring at Punchestown in November then running well in a Grade A handicap at Leopardstown earlier this month. Sutton Manor was beaten a long way in that latter event and only had three rivals to beat in a beginners' event at Down Royal earlier. Last Encounter was placed in Grade 1 company over hurdles but hasn't got to grip with fences.
