In depth

Verdict

So Wonderful, who took 15 starts to lose her maiden tag, looked at home on heavy going when following up over a mile at Killarney on Friday and this doesn't look much tougher. Archie Watson sends The Perfect Crown over from the UK but he's only run on Polytrack and will find conditions very different here. Current Option just held Soul Search in a driving finish at Cork but the latter could reverse the form on 2lb better terms though the one to take from the race is COULD BE KING. Ken Condon's charge looked to be travelling like a winner but got no sort of run and has won on soft ground. Auxilia was beaten a long way when runner-up at Galway.
