In depth

Verdict

De Velara showed a bit of form in France before an encouraging debut for new connections at Cork and should improve though Lucky Queen wasn't far behind that day and didn't get the best of runs so it would be no surprise to see a form reversal. LORD ABAMA has performed with credit in all three starts at the Curragh and this represents a drop in class so he can get off the mark. Plankton made his debut in a Roscommon maiden claimer and started odds-on but ran very green and couldn't match strides with the winner, who has been beaten in a claimer subsequently. Pinehurst is related to five winners and wouldn't need to be a world-beater to get involved.
