It's a surprise to find Joyce Compton back over the minimum trip as her Gowran victory came over 7f as did her recent narrow defeat at Down Royal. She's still quite well handicapped so connections must believe she's worth a chance back sprinting. Edgar Allan Poe has also been racing over 7f and his best run came over this trip at Navan in May though he's become disappointing. Pat Smullen made all on board GRECIAN DIVINE (NAP) over 6f on heavy ground at Listowel last week when Lady Ravenna was just over three lengths back in third. Seamie Heffernan takes over today and his mount can complete a quick double. Smullen is on board Tilly Trotter for Dermot Weld and her latest run in a Listed contest here back in May has to be disregarded as she proved very fractious at the start. She had earlier beaten Joyce Compton comfortably at Dundalk off levels and can confirm that form on 7lb worse terms. Sammyjade showed her best form to date in a Curragh maiden last month though that was on fast ground.
