Aidan O' Brien would have expected COURAGE UNDER FIRE to have won by now and this should be his day. This will be his first start over the minimum trip but he's been showing very good pace over further, including when runner-up behind long odds-on stablemate Caravaggio in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes, and can finally get off the mark. The stable also run Circus Ring, a 100,000gns son of Fastnet Rock out of a 7f winner so he's likely to do better over further. Solar Halo ran quite well on her introduction at the Curragh last month and returned to action in a Group 3 there a week later where she ran better than her finishing position suggests. Ribbons 'n' Roses is by Cape Cross and bred for much further but she made a highly encouraging debut over this course and distance in April and looks to have been given time to mature.
