The form of REDOUTABLE's victory at the Curragh will be put to the test by the three who followed her home earlier in the afternoon. Kevin Prendergast's filly was having her first start over this trip on that occasion and could hardly have been more impressive so must be the selection to beat her elders. Maarek is a cracking good sprinter who loves testing conditions as he showed when ploughing through the Curragh mud to beat a huge field of handicappers in September. He reappeared with another fine effort there last month and will prove a tough nut to crack. Jamesie didn't have too much racing last summer and completed a double in July but Gordon Lord Byron has only won on Polytrack. Colour Of Love will like the conditions and An Saighdiur can revert to the turf on a much lower mark than on Polytrack despite winning three times at Dundalk this year.
