MALBAY MADNESS is the only one of these to have won over the trip, landing a real touch when just getting up to beat Approaching Bear at Killarney with Slaney Tide close behind in third. The fourth and fifth have won subsequently and though the winner is up 11lb he was racing from 7lb out of the handicap so can go in again. Hasten Slowly landed a 7f Leopardstown maiden and started a short-priced favourite for a Curragh nursery but couldn't quite go through with her run so the step up in trip should suit. Laser Jet is the type to improve now handicapping and Ard Mhacha showed very good pace in a strong Galway nursery.
