J P McManus has three entries and Mark Walsh chooses COMMON PRACTICE over recent winner Ballybawn Belter and Drop The Anchor. His mount, a winner on heavy ground a year ago, reappeared with an excellent third in a Listed handicap at Listowel in September and should strip fitter now. Firm Footings made a successful return to action at Sligo and doesn't look badly treated despite a 5lb rise. Espanito Bello is now rated 150 over fences after his victory in the Leinster National here. He's also won a bumper and scored over hurdles here and reverts to timber on a 22lb lower mark. Rebel Gold is another taking advantage of a huge difference in his rating over fences as he's now 25lb lower following superb efforts here and at Fairyhouse earlier this year. There are numerous dangers including Gaoth Chuil, who looks on a nice mark with Shane Callaghan's claim taken into account.
