Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer CHOSEN WITNESS easily won a Limerick bumper then contested strong bumper events. He'll be much more at home over timber and Paul Townend chooses him over Spread Boss Ted, an easy bumper winner at Kilbeggan before narrowly beaten at the Galway Festival. Mahon's Way went for £360,000 after his victory between the flags and though beaten in a bumper here in March will be much better suited by jumping hurdles. Ataboycharlie made a very promising debut at Galway last month though this looks a stronger race.
