GOLDEN SPANGLE came good at Down Royal when just prevailing in a desperate finish. First-time headgear could trigger further improvement and the Dawn Approach filly is proven on testing ground. There was only just over a length between Church Mountain and Turbulence when the pair were first and fourth at Killarney last month but the latter was arguably unfortunate not to finish closer. Both are shortlisted here along with Mr Mills, who backed up a first career success at Navan with a third at Gowran Park recently. Kodiac Prince has enjoyed a good season but the handicapper may have his measure at present. Chilean would be interesting if getting a run from his reserve spot.
