Verdict

Lipsink finished ahead of So Smart on soft going here in April but the placings were reversed next time at Nottingham. Penguin Island got off the mark at Chepstow last month and had placed form on an easier surface at that track last year but Sergeant Pep has done most of his racing on Tapeta. SERA DAWN, a winner at Nottingham and Catterick in the spring, proved his liking for underfoot conditions when a close third off this mark at Sandown 11 days ago with the fifth franking that form at Newmarket on Saturday.
