Verdict

Ballycahane showed massive improvement when tackling this trip for the first time here and with more to come looks certain to get into the argument. First To Boogie would have won his only start between the flags but for falling and looked a very smart prospect when landing a Bellewstown bumper in August. AENGUS won a bumper over 2m2f then found the minimum trip too short on his hurdling debut at Leopardstown. He'll be better suited by this likely test of stamina and gets the vote. Jim Culloty's dual point-to-point winner River Of Time looks certain to do better in time.
