In depth

Verdict

Jim Bolger has won two of the last three renewals and though GLOR NA MARA is still a maiden after nine starts he won't get many better opportunities. Placed in two Group 1's as a juvenile, he is taking his time to warm up this season but a close third behind Bewitched and Zoffany in a Group 3 at Leopardstown last week suggests he's ready to win at last. The biggest threat is likely to come from the filly Rose Bonheur, who completed an early-season sprint double before a very good effort behind Misty For Me in the Irish 1000 Guineas. Hujaylea was in good form earlier in the year at Meydan and returned home with a cracking effort in a very strong handicap at the Curragh. He should reach a place at least and will find any chinks in the armour of the three-year-olds. Hen Night won a Listed contest over a mile last season and wasn't far behind Lillie Langtry in the Group 1 Matron Stakes at Leopardstown so she can also go well on her reappearance.
