Verdict

This nice prize has attracted a strong field headed by Lord Massusus. Joe Murphy's charge has won three of his last four from 6f to a mile and has plenty in hand when scoring at Gowran last month. Tough Talk made a successful debut in April last year, beating the subsequently unbeaten Group 1 winner Little Big Bear, and though runner-up in a Curragh Group 3 the following month it's a concern that he wasn't seen again. Polar Bear easily won a course and distance maiden in October and looked a progressive type when scoring over 5f on heavy ground at Bellewstown. SOMETHING NICE has been showing very good speed over further on testing ground, scoring over 7f at Cork before just failing against Immutable over a mile here last time. Providing the ground doesn't dry out, he can get back on the winning trail though there are numerous dangers including the Curragh maiden winner Run Ran Run and King Of Scotia, just beaten in what looked a strong handicap here last month.
