Dermot Weld has been in very good form over the holidays and looks to have found an ideal opportunity for RAINFOREST MAGIC to make a winning start over timber. The son of Montjeu didn't have much experience on the Flat but showed enough in big fields at Galway and Leopardstown to suggest he would have a future. Quarton is still a maiden on the Flat after nine starts but looked a better hurdling prospect in a decent maiden won by Mister Carter at Leopardstown on Tuesday. Tinas Exhibition, a very good fourth behind the useful Toner D'Oudairies at Down Royal in November, didn't show that level of form behind Kristal Komet at Clonmel subsequently. Dual Flat winner Femmi Sognare should have come on for her opening run over timber behind Silas Mariner at Punchestown.
