Another very competitive pattern race with several appearing to hold decent claims at the weights. Peace Envoy has the highest rating and won a Group 3 at the Curragh last summer, though has to shoulder a penalty. Firey Speech made steady progress throughout last season and has had a pipe-opener, though connections reach for the headgear here. Noivado was only beaten a neck in this grade at Dundalk on his reappearance. SON OF REST beat a subsequent winner by more than six lengths in a Cork maiden a month ago. This is obviously a step up but he looks a progressive sort who should thrive this year. Doctor Geoff was impressive in a maiden here in September but behind Firey Speech on debut here in July.
