In depth

Verdict

A trappy claimer where Tizzy May could provide us with the answer, while all of the top four on the racecard can go well in opposition. The selection won a similar contest when rated 2lb higher back in July, acts on any ground, and this trip looks ideal. On the negative side he doesn't win too often, but then nor do many of these, and after a decent effort last time perhaps he can step back up to the mark here. Inside Story will have supporters after winning at around this trip a couple of times in the summer and holding his form pretty well since then in defeat. He is not ruled out, and the same goes for El Coto, who last won over 9f at Ayr, and who is still in good heart. Langford was not far away at Kempton last time but lacks consistency, while Little Jimbob comes from connections who do well here and has to be taken seriously, with similar credentials to the others. It's a tricky one to solve, and the suggestion is Tizzy May.
