    Verdict

Ayr specialist Glasses Up has never given any indication that he’ll stay this far but Blow Your Horn completed a hat-trick over 2m2f at Pontefract in June and started favourite for the Northumberland Plate consolation later at Newcastle. Simple Star has already won twice here this year but it could be a bumper day for Charlie Johnston’s stable as YORKINDNESS has completed a double over 2m1f at Pontefract lately and is in much better form than when beaten by Two Auld Pals at Carlisle at the start of June. Baez is another arriving on a hat-trick so can’t be left out of calculations.
