In depth

Verdict

Agostini, Always Flying, and Paradise Flight are three against the field in a tough race to call for punters and the tentative vote goes to Agostini. The selection was a fair sort in his native France having won at up to 9 furlongs. He is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut and he will not need to be anything special to score.Always Flying rates the main danger he was a fair third on his debut behind Regal Setting and looks sure to improve but he has yet to convince he stays this far and for that reason he is opposed. Paradise Flight is another worthy of respect as he looks sure to improve on his debut fifth behind Madibah but he also looked a doubtful stayer and he is passed over on this occasion.Xpressions is a flat winner over a mile from a shred yard and is worth noting in the market but he may just need the run after an absence. Of the remainder Motive represents powerful connections and is another to monitor in the market but in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to Agostini.
