JIM MARTIN was a heavy ground winner at Ayr last time and may well have the stamina to get home on good ground on this easier track, so he gets the nod as the stand out in this seller, with Rehearsal and Court Of Appeal respected. The selection is not necessarily bred to get this far, but Ayr's 10f would be a bit stiffer than this flat track and given that he had the stamina to get home on such dreadful ground as he encountered there he may well be able to see it out in such poor company as this. Court Of Appeal has been a grand servant to Brian Ellison and goes pretty well at any trip from this up to two miles. Stamina certainly won't be a problem for him and he won a similar contest here in May, so he is respected. Rehearsal likes it here but has won only once on the flat, way back in 2004, and in spite of what looks a decent mark to be racing from here, he doesn't look on great terms with himself and we'll take him on. Jane Of Arc has gone off the boil and was thrashed the other day, but Spiders Star is not out of it if you are prepared to put a line through her last run, where she was well out of her depth. As usual this seller is not one to get too heavily involved with and we'll put up Jim Martin as the selection.
