The two recent winner Il Castagno and Tough Love have to be considered here however Fiefdom may be on the way back to his best and he gets our vote. His best is certainly very very good. This five-year-old started last campaign off a mark of 94 and although not really living up to that assessment he still ran some decent races and in fact won off 82 last June. His current mark of 76 entitles him to every respect here especially in the light of that recent run. Il Castagno won nicely at Redcar last time out and should go well despite a hike in the weights. Meanwhile Tough Love makes a quick return to the track having comfortably brushed aside a modest field at Thirsk earlier in the week. Carnivore has a squeak on the best of last year's efforts, but Fiefdom is the best handicapped horse in the race and he gets our vote.
