Verdict

WHAT'S THE POINT has attempted to make all on his last two starts over longer trips and is worth a try over today's distance as question marks surround all of the competition. Southwell winner Beautiful Day is none from 11 on turf and Georgebernardshaw has just the one win in the last four years. Edas was still beaten 14 lengths despite finishing second at Newcastle last time and Whats For Pudding has proven best with some cut in the ground so far. Pitkin gets first-time blinkers and may improve though both previous wins came over 5f on the all-weather back in 2010.
