John Best won this in 2010 so Instrumentalist, who has only raced on Polytrack at Lingfield and won there in December, is on the short-list. FENNELL BAY has been raised 8lb for last week's victory at Newmarket so he's a couple of pounds well in with his penalty and, as there's more to come from him, he gets the vote to concede weight all round. Luca Cumani has struck form and Scrupul should do better than at Doncaster where he hated the heavy ground but Never Perfect was at home in similar conditions when scoring at Ayr. Fisher is the only distance winner having made all at Beverley while Watheeq is the type to do better over this trip in his second season.
