Verdict
Trailblazing Oldenway, Balwearie and Crathorne make the most appeal and we stick with Oldenway. Richard Fahey's charge is not without his quirks but if he is granted a soft lead, he can rather leave his rivals someway adrift at a rate of knots and if the horse is in the mood - he has to be the one for the win selection. Balwearie's recent win came in handicap company. He has to be respected at this level although connections would not wish to see any overnight rain. Crathorne has generally put up his best efforts when allowed to bowl along in front. He had a fair Winter over hurdles for Martin Todhunter and cannot be too readily discounted on this return to the level. Easibet Dot Net has proved frustrating for followers and does not find a great deal in a finish. Hold up performer, King's Crest has not shown too much since a return to action but is nevertheless watched in the market. Oldenway is just about a percentage call in a race of many imponderables.
