Gemologist wasn’t beaten far in a novice event here four weeks ago and drops down a grade for this but a career record of 0-31 is very off-putting. Flood Defence found only one too good at Sedgefield last month and the yard is in better form now. Luck Of Clover is the least exposed but Royal Cosmic looks held on the form book, though has had wind surgery since last seen. SET IN STONE is probably due a rest but was more like her old self at Southwell last month and has dropped a pound since. Smart Lass was a winner on the Flat here in August and also has claims.
