Baawraah showed enough here over a shorter trip last time on his chasing debut to suggest that he could fare well in today's contest. Ballito's overall form does not seem too bad and he could go well but another Irish raider is Black Chalk who runs under a penalty following a two-and-a-half mile win here last time. Lightly-raced, he should have better to come and he gets the nomination. Quibble's Catterick second last time was a step in the right direction, while Great Jane attracted money last time and was in the process of running well when falling, so she could go well, and Ferdy Murphy's Marshall Hall is open to some improvement. Finally, Tin Healy's Pass would hold a shout based on his Hexham win but he disappointed at Kelso last time on heavy going, and Sports Express has nine lengths to find with the selection based on track form last time, although he has a pull in the weights over today's longer trip. That said, we are happy to side with Black Chalk as the selection.
